This website is your 'one-stop-library' for all the help and guidance you need for setting your own smart, clear and meaningful goals.

Goals that will help you find the path that will lead to the happy, successful and fulfilled life that you have always wanted to live.

So.. what are Goals?

How to Set Goals Dots

In a nutshell they are simply clear and concisely defined plans, setting out your path to achieving a desired result or objective, either on an individual or collective basis.

Efficient goal work includes recognising and resolving all guilt, inner conflict or self-limiting beliefs that can cause themselves to hinder or sabotage their efforts.

By setting clearly defined goals, you can subsequently measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. Setting, managing and achiveing goals will give returns in all areas of your life.

Knowing precisely what you want to achieve helps make it crystal clear what to concentrate and improve on, and often allows the subconscious to prioritise the most important goals.

Goals can be set for anything - the pre-requisite choice is it must be something you want to have, to do, to achieve, to experience, or somwhere you want to go, to see.. the list is as endless as the universe - if you can think of it, you can set a goal for it.

And.. why set Goals?

Why Set Goals Dots

Your life will be constantly impacted and affected by circumstances, events and desicions made by other people, of which you have no control over.

However, it is imperative to understand that it isn't these events that shape your future, but rather how you react to them.

By being fully aware that your future is solely determined by your choices, you can then choose the exact steps to react in the most positive and effective way. This enables you to reach the outcome that you desire, rather than feel that you are the 'victim' of such circumstances.

Your choices form the main principles that will map the direction you wish to take and allow you to create the life you want to make.

Choice creates control.

Decisions decide destiny.

Setting your own personal goals, puts you at the immediate and complete control centre of your life.

With your Goals set, you will define a clear direction towards achieving everything and anything you want for your life.

The Value of Goals and Time

It is not unusual to find many people unconvinced about the value of Goal-setting, given the stress created by what are often perceived as unrealistic, artificial expectations. There is always the awkward balance of trying to set targets low enough to be "realistic," but big enough to be "galvanizing, exciting, challenging" (and sometimes required!).

This is a subject for numerous business books, life coaches, gurus and motivation pundits. The value of goals is not in the future they describe, but the change in perception of reality they foster.

What we focus on changes what we notice. Our brain filters information, seeing one thing in a situation instead of something else, based on what we identify with, what we have our attention on, what we're looking for—more or less consciously. For example, in a meeting: optometrists notice who's wearing eyeglasses, affirmative action advocates notice the ratio of minorities in the group and interior designers notice the color schemes.

Similarly, if you stop for a minute and give yourself permission to imagine five years from now, if your life could be as fabulously spectacular as you could possibly imagine, what might a Sunday afternoon be like? Reading great reviews of your best-selling book? Sailing the ocean in your own boat? Feeling relaxed, inspired, and having great fun with plenty of free time to read, play with kids, explore new hobbies? Now imagine how good it could be ten minutes from now.... Likely there will be different images that you will generate or perceive.

Both are exercises in fantasy. Each will give instructions to our mind to search for information that will be relevant to the pictures. Which is "better?" That depends on whether you'd like to start noticing sailing magazines, ideas for a book, or creative ways to have more discretionary time. That information is all around you, all the time. However if you're not wired up to perceive it with a focus that opens you to it, you will be unaware that it exists.

The reason for long-term Goals is the permission they give us to identify with the greatest value we can so it changes our filtered perceptions. The future never shows up, but playing with it as a working blueprint can be a remarkably useful tool to see things (and how to do and have them) that you never saw before. The most innovative companies are the ones with the biggest Goals.

The future is an illusion, but a handy one.

The only reality is right now, in the present moment.

The present moment is the only time you can ever think, act, learn, achieve...

It's down to you to make the most of every second, minute, hour, day... once it's passed, it's confined to history forever.
